Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many meals per day ?

We recommended feeding your dog not more than TWO meals per day. The healthiest way to feed your dog is with ONE main meal and ONE small meal. These meals should be within 6 hours of one another to ensure your dog’s digestive system has 18 hours to rest.

  • Why should I feed fresh ?

It's true that most available pet food options contain the right balance of vitamins and nutrients for a dog to survive, but we believe there is a big difference between surviving and thriving. Growing scientific evidence is not only pointing to the health benifits of fresh food, but also to the dangers of many commercial pet food manufacturing processes, as rates related to pet obesity, cancer, and diabetes are enormously increasing.

  • Can I feed fresh food to my puppy ?

    YES!!

We recommend fresh cooked food, providing  all the necessary nutrients in the right quantities.

Gently cooked real chicken, beef, and fresh vegetables on low temperature helps retaining the nutrients needed for your puppy.

These factors help your dog to easily digest his meal.

It provides superior nutrition and helps to grow healthy and strong.

And, guess what? It tastes great!

  • Do I need to refrigerate the food?

In order to preserve freshness, meals must stay frozen until it's time to be served to your four-legged friend.

You can defrost the meal either by putting it in the fridge a day before or same day using the microwave.

Please read the side-back of Wagwiggle bag for serving instructions.

How much food?

Not too much, Not too little.

Overfeeding is dangerous. You’ll know you’re feeding your dog correct quantities if he or she maintains an athletic figure, with a THIN layer of “puppy fat”.

Use your dog's weight to determine the perfect feeding quantity.

Choose the percentage of your dog’s weight, based on their size (or age). These are guide amounts, you may need to feed a little more or a little less. Remember you can use decimals, like 4.5% to slightly increase or decrease their food amounts and this is only a guide. You can feed more or less, most important is to keep your dog athletic !

FOOD TRANSITION

It’s not possible to have a healthy or balanced diet if your pup is eating the same meal every day. You need to get their digestive system accustomed to a variety. However, just like for humans, a new meal with new ingredients can cause a bout of nausea. This requires introducing foods and meals slowly. When introducing whole new meals, you’ll need to transition them using the guide below. As an owner, you are the one who is best placed to see how your dog is reacting to the new food. THIS IS ONLY A GUIDE, with new food to old food proportions and a timescale for you to work by: If you make 4 days of food, it will cover you for a week long transition.
